Voiceboard (“the App”, “we”) is a voice-first AI keyboard for iOS. We have designed the App with privacy-by-default. This policy describes what data the App processes, where it goes, and your rights.
What we collect — Nothing personally identifying
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifying information about you. We do not run analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking, or fingerprinting. We do not have user accounts.
What the App processes locally on your device
- Audio: captured by your iPhone’s microphone when you tap the mic button.
- Transcribed text: produced on-device by Apple’s
SpeechAnalyzerframework. The raw audio never leaves your iPhone. - History: each transcript (raw + polished, if applicable) is saved locally on your device using Apple’s
SwiftData. You can delete entries anytime; deleting the App removes everything. - Settings: prompts, model presets, mic timeout, language preferences, etc. are stored locally in iOS App Group
UserDefaults. - Your AI provider API key: stored locally in the iOS Keychain (
kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlock). Never transmitted to anyone except the AI provider you chose.
What goes over the network — Only when you enable AI cleanup
When you enable “AutoPolish” or “Translate” mode, the App sends your transcribed text (not audio) over HTTPS to the AI provider you configured in Settings. Possible providers include but are not limited to:
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Mimo (小米 MiMo), xAI, Mistral, Cohere, Moonshot (月之暗面), Alibaba (Qwen / 通义千问), ByteDance (Doubao / 豆包), Zhipu (智谱), Baidu (ERNIE / 文心), Tencent (Hunyuan / 混元), MiniMax, StepFun (阶跃星辰), Baichuan (百川), Perplexity, 01.AI (零一万物), or any custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint you provide.
You — not Voiceboard — are the data controller for what your chosen provider receives. Each provider has its own privacy policy that governs their handling of your text. We have no business relationship with these providers and do not receive any data from them.
In “Transcribe” mode (no AI cleanup), nothing leaves your device.
What we do not do
- We do not run analytics on your usage.
- We do not display ads.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties (we do not have any data to sell).
- We do not use App Tracking Transparency-tracked identifiers (
NSPrivacyTracking = falseis declared in our privacy manifest). - We do not associate any data with your Apple ID.
- We do not log your keystrokes, even though the keyboard extension has “Allow Full Access” enabled. Full Access is used solely for inter-process communication via the App Group container; we never read host-app text content.
Children’s privacy
The App is rated 4+ and contains no targeted collection of children’s data. Since we collect no personal data, no special children’s-privacy regime is triggered.
Data retention and deletion
You control everything. Delete individual history entries by swiping in the History list, or remove the App from your device to clear all local storage including the Keychain entry for your API key.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / PIPL)
Since we do not collect or process personal data on our infrastructure, requests for access, deletion, or portability under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), PIPL (China) or similar laws can be honored by you directly: delete history in-app or remove the App. For the AI provider you configured, refer to their privacy policy.
Security
API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain with kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlock access class, encrypted by iOS. All network requests use HTTPS with the system certificate trust store.
Changes to this policy
If this policy materially changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and surface the change in the App’s onboarding flow. Continued use of the App after a material change means acceptance.

我们不做的事
- 不分析你的使用行为。
- 不展示广告。
- 不出售或分享你的数据(因为我们没有数据可售)。
- 不使用 ATT(App 追踪透明度)追踪标识符(隐私清单已声明
NSPrivacyTracking = false)。 - 不关联任何 Apple ID。
- 不记录你的键盘输入。键盘扩展虽已开启”允许完全访问”,但仅用于通过 App Group 容器实现进程间通信,绝不读取宿主 App 的输入内容。
儿童隐私
本应用 4+ 分级,不针对儿童收集数据。由于不收集任何个人数据,不触发儿童隐私的特殊监管要求。
数据保留与删除
一切由你控制。在历史列表里左滑删单条,或从设备卸载本应用以清除所有本地存储,包括 Keychain 中的 API Key 项。
你的权利(GDPR / CCPA / PIPL)
由于我们的基础设施上不收集、不处理你的个人数据,GDPR(欧盟)、CCPA(加州)、PIPL(中国)等相关法律下的访问/删除/可移植权,你可直接通过应用内删除历史 / 卸载应用 来行使。对你配置的 AI 服务商,请参考其各自的隐私政策。
安全
API Key 存储在 iOS Keychain 中,使用 kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlock 访问类,由 iOS 加密。所有网络请求使用 HTTPS,信任系统证书库。
政策变更
若本政策有重大变更,我们将更新”最后更新”日期并在应用首次启动 onboarding 中提示。重大变更后继续使用本应用即视为接受。
